Waterborne transportation infrastructure  

Waterborne transport is a critical component of the global economy, accounting for more than 80% of global trade. Maritime and water infrastructure, which is DMC’s expertise, plays a vital role in that logistics chain. Our team has extensive experience in designing and implementing waterborne transportation infrastructure projects, including locks, weirs, jetties, and breakwaters. We understand the importance of these projects and work closely with our clients to ensure that their needs are met while keeping capital investments and life cycle costs in mind.

Infrastructure for the energy sector and transition to clean energy

Enabling the energy transition is essential to fight climate change and create a sustainable future. DMC provides structural solutions for both in-water applications as well as supporting structures in the terminal itself. Our team has the expertise to design and implement infrastructure that supports the transition to clean energy in near shore application and including the repurposing of existing infrastructure. 

Climate adaptation and flood protection structures

The challenges arising from the changing climate require effective protective measures. DMC has an extensive track record in the design of storm surge barriers, sea locks and primary flood defense systems such as The Afsluitdijk, Inflatable Stormsurge Barrier Ramspol, New Lock Terneuzen and Sea Lock IJmuiden. We understand the importance of these structures and work closely with our clients to ensure that they are designed and implemented to the highest standards.
