The lock complex at Terneuzen is the main gateway to Terneuzen and Ghent in the port of North Sea Port.

We are all facing a rising sea level and an increasing intensity of storms and floods. Especially our country, The Netherlands, with large parts of land below sea level. For this reason, the Dutch Government is currently executing large projects to keep The Netherlands safe. One of the projects is the reinforcement of the major coastal defence dam Afsluitdijk, which was originally opened in 1932. As DMC we are proud to have a key role in the design team, providing sustainable and innovative solutions to protect us against water.

The port of Amsterdam is protected by a closed sea defense to enable cargo transfer independent of current and tide. Due to expected increased throughput and increasingly larger vessels, a larger lock is required to enable future economic growth of the port. A new lock also provides maintenance possibilities for the existing crowded locks. The new lock is the world's largest, with dimensions of 500m length, 70m width and 18m deep.

The Antarctic Infrastructure Modernisation Programme commissioned by the Natural Environment Research Council will enable a world-leading capability to ensure that Britain remains at the forefront of climate, biodiversity and oceanographic research in Polar regions. Through the programme, British Antarctic Survey (BAS) is enhancing station facilities. The upgrade of the wharf at King Edward Point in the Sub-Antarctic region will allow the new and highly advanced polar research vessel RRS Sir David Attenborough to berth.

The port of Poti, Georgia, is protected by a breakwater with a length of approx. 1800 m. The breakwater has been constructed in several construction stages between 1856 and 1929.

In December 2013 a joint venture of BAM International and BAM Contractors (BAM) has been awarded the design and construct contract for the Terminal phase 1 extension of the Jebel Ali port in Dubai, UAE.

INPEX Operations Australia Pty Ltd is the proponent for the construction and operation of hydrocarbon production and export facilities that are required for the development of the Ichthys gas field located off the northern coast of Western Australia.
